Helen Barrera is a Career Ownership Coach with The Entrepreneur Source because she finds inspiration in helping others create a career and lifestyle that is uniquely theirs. Her mission is to support and facilitate a safe space where her clients can explore their Possibilities, Opportunities and Dreams for self-sufficiency and financial independence.
Helen spent almost 30 years as a leader in the corporate environment, specifically the hotel industry with the last role as Regional Director of Operations responsible for a portfolio of hotels. She successfully led her teams by focusing on strong business acumen and excellent guest satisfaction. She excelled in training, mentoring, and leading hotel teams to desired goals and results. Helen most enjoyed collaborating with her team leads and colleagues on their career growth. She developed over the years a “coach” leadership style where she conducted regular “1:1” sessions discussing topics of professional and emotional intelligence. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, Hotel and Restaurant Management and is an active member of the Alumni.
To relax, Helen loves reading the most. She is an avid reader that participates in book clubs and loves chatting with other book lovers. Her ideal vacation is “beach, book and sun”. Helen also enjoys cooking for her family; she tries a new recipe or a twist on an old recipe every week.
